Hey folks!I’m back with my next poem, titled “Memories”.Been a long time since I wrote a poem with rhyming quatrains.Also, this time, I also set a syllable limit of 5-6-5-5 for each line.Enjoy!
Moments came and went,
But the memories stayed;
Marks perforcely borne
Till I never may…
Marks to be cherished,
Echoes I mayn’t forget;
Or marks that bolster
Harrow and regret.
Marks of true friendship,
Echoes I mayn’t forget,
Or marks of hatred,
That feed me regret.
Marks of sweet success,
Echoes I mayn’t forget,
Or marks of faults dire
That I may regret.
Aeons came and went,
But the memories stayed;
Memories that haunt
My soul,everyday.

Marked memories, I like that idea and you communicated it well. Some are definitely marked for avoiding.
