Lord Ram coming home,
Ayodhya celebrating
The great king’s return.

Songs sung with gusto,
Mythologies shared with pride,
Lauding our culture.

People dancing gaily,
Hearts singing with happiness,
No mind in anguish.

Souls weeping delight,
Roaring flames bolstered within,
Ne’er to be smothered!

Skipping and prancing,
Amidst Diwali’s delights,
I bathe in pleasure.


Goodness showering,
As good triumphs o’er evil,
Happy Diwali!
