Hey all! I’m back with my first quadrille,titled “Life Ain’t Fair”. Enjoy!
Life’s a haunted maze,
A polymorphic lair;
And never
Ever fair.
Keeps altering your course,
Shuffling your tracks,
Foul play
Its knack.
Life’s a card sharp,
The game’s lord.
Always enjoys
Favorable odds.
You gotta accept that,
Change with change;
For happiness
In exchange.

P.S: This has been written for the DVerse quadrille challenge, which you can access at https://dversepoets.com/2021/11/15/quadrille-140-lets-go-to-the-fair/ .
A quadrille is a poem of exactly 44 words,and this time,the challenge was to include the word “Fair” in it,in whatever context we want.
