Hey all! I’m back with my first sparrowlet. Enjoy!
‘Midst darkness radical,a light
Incinerates the immoral,
Hunts prowling predators disguised,
Villainous creatures infernal,
Battling those by evil,driven,
A light ‘midst darkness radical.
‘Midst darkness tart,a blinding light
Glows within every single heart
In which undying good resides,
Even a fragment would impart
Power with which shall dazzle bright,
A blinding light,’midst darkness tart .

This has been penned for DVerse, where poets were asked to write sparrowlets. You can access the prompt at https://dversepoets.com/2022/02/24/poetry-form-sparrowlet/ .
Sparrowlet:
1.Stanzaic, written in any number of sixains. (A stanza of 6 lines).
2.Syllabic, lines of 8 syllables each. (Often written in iambic tetrameter.)
3.Rhymed, rhyme scheme BbabaA.
4.L1 and L6 of each stanza is written in 2 hemistichs. (Hemistich means a half a line of a verse).
5.The 2 halves of L1 are inverted and repeated as a refrain in L6. The last line MUST be the EXACT SAME as line 1, just switched around. You cannot change any of the words. (Punctuation may be changed to accommodate the meaning).

Well written, Veera. ❤️
Have a look at the rhyming scheme again. It should be BbabaA.

Wait wait isn’t it valid? I mean, the 2nd and 4th lines rhyme, and the 3rd and fifth lines rhyme as well…taking -al and -al as b-b and -en and -en as a-a…

I don’t know about the validity. But the first, second and the fourth lines and third, fifth and sixth should rhyme. Read the poem Grace has included.

I like how the darkness of the first and the light of the second complement each other. Well-done!
