Been a long time..

I can’t feel your sadness,
Can’t feel your pain…
My endeavours to understand
Your woes, will go in vain.

I cannot comprehend
The sorrows you brave,
Hence, I cannot confer
The comfort you crave..

I cannot sympathise
With your grief,your despair,
To offer false hope,
No, I do not dare…

All I can do
Is listen to your laments,
Your fiery outbursts
As your anger, you vent;

A shoulder to rest on
Is all I can extend,
A shoulder to hold on to,
Right till the end..

Because no matter what,
I’ll always be there,
In good times and bad,
In gloom and cheer…
