Those were the days, my friend

This is a set of two cadralors(the first one by me and the other by Riya from Hmm…). Been a long time since I wrote anything at all…

Searing summer showers
Suffocating spite and strife
Upon innocents.

Merciless monsoons marching,
Deliverers of despair,
Raining rank ruin.

Autumn ascending,
Trees with’ring with timeless time,
As wilted withering hearts

Winter wry with wanton gloom,
Arctic winds heartlessly freeze
Atrophying souls.

Five years on, I say with rue,
Oh, those were the days, my friend,
And we thought they’d never end..

Tanned faces smeared with sweat,
Welcoming the winds of summer,
Relaxed and relieved.

Under the loud storming rains,
Playing songs of eternity,
Extended some peace.

Dead blankets of leaves,
Scattered from higher places,
To find new meanings.

Cold weathers’ little mercy,
Could never dim the warmth,
Of the people in this room

Later when the future’s here
Darling let’s create days together,
From this end to the next.
