D’you Remember, Brother?

MY BROTHER'S KEEPER | CCCFellowship

Hey all! I’m back with my next poem, in memory of my brother, who had recently gone to Sweden for higher studies, whom I won’t be seeing until two years later 😧🥺. This has been penned for him!

D’you remember the laughs,
The fights we had?
Memories that bring joy
When I feel sad…

D’you remember the way
You wiped my tears,
Blocked the stream of sorrow,
‘Stead, brought cheer?

D’you remember the games
Of basketball we played?
The friends we once had,
Have held dear, to this day?

D’you remember the stuff
You taught me ’bout life,
Held my hand,helped me stand,
Rescued me from strife?

D’you remember the moments,
Spent, before you went
To chase your dreams,
Leaving my heart rent…

D’you remember that back here,
Your little brother writes,
Grateful for your light
In the cold, dark night?

D’you remember that back here
Your little brother writes,
Knowing he’ll see you one day,
A man brilliant and bright!
