Hey all! I’m back with my next poem, titled “Predators are Predators”. Enjoy!
A dragon sniggered,
Eyeing two squabbling rabbits,
Perched atop a rock.
Fighting o’er carrots,
Rolling,hollering,scratching,
A cute little clash.
The furballs stood still,
On sighting a predator,
Humongous bighead.
Questioned one furball,
“O dragon,ye can breathe fire;
Feast on feared lions.”
Yet driven by greed,
Ye murder more innocents
Than you can e’er eat.
Ye cull the helpless
Exploit puny animals,
Terrorize the weak.
Though gifted with fire,
Ye favor blatant misuse,
Relishing our angst.
The dragon blinked once,
Drowned rabbits in roasting flames,
Gobbled their remains.
Their courage futile,
Predators are predators,
Never to reform.
