Rainbow

Hey all! I’m back with my next set of haikus. Enjoy!

The rainbow stands tall,
Colorful doughnut amidst
A watery sky.

A glowing presence
Amidst grey,glowering skies,
It gleams,a lone light.

Its many colors
Varied spices that garnish
A bowl of bland soup.

Vibrant rainbow shines,
Monochromatic no more,
Vast sea of blue.

This is a vague metaphor, the rainbow symbolises the variety that we need to have in a monochromatic life. Its not particularly symbolic,I guess..

  1. Sri, I think the rainbow is symbolic of all the primary colors. It works as a metaphor by comparing the rainbow to our lives, which are often monochrome—lacking excitement. I like your colorful take on the prompt. Your thought process was spot on. ❤
