Basketball in the Rain

My first constanza(not a great work, I guess, but yeah)

Raindrops fell fast,striking the ground,
Merciless cold the dark night bled,
As into the vast court I tread,

Staring at the grey sky spellbound,
Its fury fascinated me,
As did its monochrome beauty.

Basketball in hand, I looked ’round,
The court invited me to play,
Though squally rain was in full sway…

Listening to the patter’s sweet sound,
Icy winds blew against my face,
As I began dribbling with grace.

An intense happiness I found,
An ineffable contentment,
A fiery, blazing intent

As in the joy of play, I drowned,
Bouncing the ball with all my might,
As dark remained the moonless night.

Raindrops fell fast, striking the ground,
Staring at the grey sky,spellbound,
Basketball in hand, I looked ’round;
Listening to the patter’s sweet sound,
An intense happiness I found
As in the joy of play, I drowned….
