After a loooong time, I am back with a poem! Although it has been like 5 days since I last published something, it’s seemed like ages to me!
The rain beckons me
To dance to its tunes,
Embrace its cold embrace,
Watch gloomy skies loom,
The rain beckons me
To shed some sweat,
Play basketball with friends
Not afraid of getting wet.
The rain tells me, “Don’t
Just stare out through the glass,
Walk about, feel the frigid winds
Till your feet collapse!”
I choose not to heed,
Afraid of getting wet,
Just watch through the glass,
To my utter regret.
The rain beckons me
To heed its beckoning voice,
Yet as I gaze endlessly
At its beauty,I rejoice.

I really enjoy how you paint the rain as a temptation, trying to lure you outside, but in the end, your will is what prevails as you stare into its insistent call, from the safety of inside.
