I’m back with my next poem folks! It’s been a while since I penned a poem for a prompt…anyways, here you go!
I once stumbled upon words
Both simple and splendid,
That conveyed messages in ways
Whole verses never did.
Yet when I pick them up now,
They’re magical no more,
Weld not verses with magnificence
They boasted of before.
I cannot,though,discard them,
Words of brilliance faded,
Having toiled day and night
Knitted poems from those threads.
I choose,therefore, to labour
Even if it is to no end,
Weave stanzas, groovy or sickening,
With my true friends.
-The Forgers of Fantasy
This has been penned for the W3 prompt #8, the prompt has been given by Kunjal from Duo Disseminators. I must say, this has been one challenging little prompt,as I have never worked with the word “groovy” before! You can access the prompt at https://skepticskaddish.com/2022/06/22/w3-prompt-8-weave-written-weekly/ .
The full poem hasn’t been published here, as the prompt rules bar me from penning more than 16 lines in response to it.
Rules of the prompt:
1. Your poem must be no more than 16 lines,
2. It should include some form of the word “groovy”.

😀 there must be other options besides just groovy and/or sickening, Veera!
