Hey all! I’m back with my next poem, titled “Life’s a Concert”. Enjoy!
Life’s a concert,
Dance,my friend!
Where the music played
Knows no end!
Its your band,mon amie,
As is the concert,
So go out there pal,
Make your presence overt!
You’re the dancing queen,
Only you wear that crown!
You’re the dancing queen,
Make that well known!
Show ’em some moves,
Glide like a snake,
Hypnotize the hall
With every step you take!
Its your rhythms to play,
Your music to indite,
So knock off your tunes,
While young remains the night!*

*While you’re still alive.
P.S: this has been penned for DVerse, where poets were asked to include in their poems a single line from the lyrics of the song “Dancing Queen” by ABBA. You can access the prompt at https://dversepoets.com/2021/11/30/this-ones-for-you-bjorn/

I really like what you did with the prompt!
