Hey all! I’m back with my next set of shardomas, titled “Stories”. Enjoy!
My mom wove
Endless tales at night,
She’d pattern
Wondrous plots,
Els’t recount kathas* of old,
Traditional folklore.
Stories from
The Ramayana,
Of heroes,
Warriors,
Of bravery and courage,
Dharma** and Sathya***
My mom wove
Endless tales at night,
Fairy tales,
Elves, goblins,
Scarecrows, dragons, devils,
Tales that left me thrilled.
Tales that wove
Around mind and soul
A web of
Dream-filled sleep,
None ceasing to hypnotize
My curious heart!

Your mom reminds me of my dad…the best nighttime storyteller ever! What a wonderful memory you shared…It opened up my own memories.. One of the greatest pleasures as a child, was to listen to my dad’s stories, until I nodded off to sleep. I really related and enjoyed this one Veera!
