Hey all! I’m back with my next quadrille, titled “My Muse”. Enjoy!
Poetry’s a multidimensional world,
Of beauty unsurpassed,
A ‘most wondrous creation.
Where one’s imaginations unfurl
Into verses vast,
Yet useless without inspiration;
A forger’s flame’s kindled
By a muse’s touch
Bellows masterpieces,not rhyme;
Its unwavering will,
The spirit’s* clutch
That forge poems sublime.
-The Forgers of Fantasy
*The poetic spirit of imagination
P.S: This has been penned for DVerse, where poets were asked to write quadrilles including some form of the word “Muse”. You can access the prompt at https://dversepoets.com/2022/01/10/quadrille-143-muse-cues/ .

Beautifully expressed..without the spark of our muse, our poetry fails to shine…

Love your rhyme, and this line, especially:
“The spirit’s* clutch
That forge poems sublime.”
Particularly the choice of the word “clutch.” Perfect.
