Green as Grass

Hey all! I’m back with my next poem consisting of a mess of haikus, katautas and a reverse katauta as well.Enjoy! 😉

Miniscule seedling
Became colossal creature
Touching the blue skies.

Green as grass glimmered
Its enchanted canopy,
Like a second moon.

Fireflies’ yellow glow
Filled tenebrous night with light,
Flick’ring stars gazed from afar.

Yet in minds of tiny trees
Mere shadows in Psilla’s wake,
Jealousy ran rife.

Swift razor like roots
Mercilessly stabbed away,
At a blameless life.

Hence,one night witnessed
Amidst darkness absolute
The silence of light.

So we were bereaved
Of the brilliant glimmer
A grand canopy possessed.

But I do believe
That the magic of Psilla
Remains unextinguished still.
