A poem:
I’m a’ wandering aimlessly
In an endless stretch of sorrow,
Lost in the tenebrous dark,
Worn down by unbearable woe,
Searching for a glimmer,
Having lost the light,
All hope of joy waned
In the moonless night.
I’m a wandering aimlessly,
Having surrendered my heart
To your eager arms, thinking
Till death we wouldn’t part.
Now I roam, blinded by rue
Of embracing what I thought
Was a bond of true love,
Now drowning in regret.
Although robbed of peace,
I have made up my mind
To never again believe
True love I’ll e’er find
For no light can be trusted
To keep glowin’ evermore,
No heart can be trusted
To bolster love forevermore.

Hi Veera, so glad you clarified that:) You wrote it like you really felt it..that first or 10th disillusionment in love!! Well done!
